Born in Australia to migrants from Estonia, Fred early in life committed his life to Jesus Christ. His family life was exclusively related to church and ministry for the kingdom of God. Yet not without the struggles and work that all emigrants face in a new land.
Fred gained his Biblical Education degree at Columbia International University, (as it is now known) South Carolina in 1972. He worked various positions in churches as well as electronic businesses in Australia, Canada and the USA. He adopted several children and in all cared for over ten children. He went to Papua New Guinea in the Highlands as a missionary with his wife and family in 1976 to 1989 and is now Pastor of a Bible church on Long Island , New York. He is married to Janice Darline, a teacher and author of several books on Ruth and Abraham.
Fred’s life verse is Psalm 32:8: "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." He writes, “Living by faith, and in Faith in The Lord Jesus Christ was instilled into my life by parents who loved and followed Jesus. Their example caused me to want to follow Christ. I have been friends and was helped often by, and prayed much with, John McTernan for 36 years now. His examples have spurred me on to see God work more as we face the future.”
